Are we doing enough to help women? How does gender-based violence relate to men? Do foreign women feel safe in the Czech Republic? Can women make decisions about their own bodies during childbirth?

Representatives from Czech Women's Lobby, a network of 32 organizations promoting women´s rights in the Czech Republic and a member of the European Women´s Lobby, will discuss various forms of gender-based violence, its prevention and consequences, society and those closest to the survivor, and the importance of the Istanbul Convention.

From 25 November through 10 December, Human Rights Day, the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence aim to raise public awareness and mobilizing people to bring about change concerning this problem.

Silvie Lauder, Czech journalist, will moderate the discussion.

The program will be in Czech and English.
